A TASTE OF 
COUNTRY LIFE

The north-facing thatched guest cottage comprises an open-plan living area, a fully equipped kitchen and three double bedrooms, each with its own bath- or shower-room. The two bedrooms upstairs lead onto a balcony overlooking Bell Park Dam and the surrounding hills.  Every room in the cottage has a wall heater for cold winter nights and a ceiling fan for summer. 

The living area, which has a fireplace and a TV with DSTV, opens out to a roofed braai porch with both a built-in braai and a Weber. From here steps lead down to the extensive indigenous garden with its more than 2000 clivia for which Clivia Hill is named.   A gate at the bottom of the garden opens out to Bell Park Dam with its options for fishing, swimming and boating.

We welcome guests with fresh flowers in the living area, a posy of herbs from our garden in the kitchen and home-grown fruit and vegetables when available.

 To help our guests get the most from their time in the Berg, there are two files in the cottage with up-to-date information on the amenities, eating places and activities on offer locally. 

Please note: Bed linen, bath towels and kitchen towels are provided but not swimming towels and sports or fishing equipment.  Guests must please provide their own, as well as their own food, beverages and braai charcoal.

SELF-CATERING AND B&B

Clivia Hill offers guests the option
of staying on either a self-catering or B&B basis. Ceylon and rooibos tea, coffee and sugar are on hand in the kitchen to welcome guests.

BRAAI/BARBEQUE FACILITIES

In addition to a built-in braai with chimney, there is also a Weber on the porch. Guests are requested to provide their own charcoal and firewood.

TWO-SEATER CANOE

Our two-seater canoe is available for hire on a daily basis. We provide life-jackets.
